Open Door addresses the lack of resources for theatre educators' professional development and recognition. The project aims to fill a critical gap in the continuing education of theatre educators, who currently lack adequate resources for their professional development. Rather than teaching acting or directing, a theatre educator teaches theatre as an art form, helping individuals understand the language of theatre and become informed spectators. However, current theatre
education methodologies no longer meet the needs of modern society, nor align with the languages of new generations.

The specific objectives are:

- Increase the professional competencies of theatre educators with engagement methods tailored to evolving generational needs.

- Develop new theatre education strategies that meet the needs of young people, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

- Improve the quality of work of participating organisations through the transnational exchange of practices.
